Redevelopment or Community Development Block Grant Projects
The Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (SHRA) will occasionally fund a project for the design and installation of street lights.
These street light systems are installed in high-crime areas only, and
the illumination exceeds County standards. Requests are coordinated with the Sheriff's Department and neighborhood groups.
Not all areas of Sacramento County will qualify for the expenditure of redevelopment or Community Block Grant funds.
Once installed, the street lights are maintained and operated by Sacramento
County and property owners will see a charge on their
property tax bills.
