signs, 24,500 pavement legends, 14,500,000 feet of lane
lines painted annually, and 60,000 raised pavement
markers replaced annually.

The Signs, Markings and Stripings
section performs maintenance on ALL non-electrical
traffic control devices. Examples of these
include:

All traffic signs (regulatory,
warning, and informational)

All painted and thermo-plastic
lane lines

All raised reflective and
non-reflective pavement markers (except fire hydrant
markers)

All roadside delineation (guide
markers)

All painted and thermo-plastic
pavement markings such as arrows, legends, limit
lines, and crosswalks
