Greenback Lane - Fair Oaks to Hazel

SACDOT is conducting a preliminary study for a Greenback Lane (Fair Oaks to Hazel) improvement project that will provide a number of roadway system benefits including:

• Improved roadway safety.
• Increased traffic capacity.
• Help to ease congestion.
• Reduced traffic delays.
• Beautification of the project area.

Planned roadway improvements would include:

• Widening Greenback Lane from 4 to 6 lanes between Fair Oaks Boulevard and Hazel Avenue in the Orangevale area.
• Constructing a 12-foot wide raised, landscaped median along Greenback Lane.
• Modifying existing traffic signals.
• Adding bicycle lanes.

Funding is yet to be identified for future phases of the project.
