I-5 @ Metro Air Parkway Interchange

Project Description

This State Highway project will construct an interchange at the intersection of Interstate 5 and Metro Air Parkway. This first phase of this project will include:

• Realignment of South Bayou Way to provide a right-of-way for partial completion of a two-quadrant partial cloverleaf interchange.
• Construction of a single-lane northbound I-5 exit ramp and diagonal entrance ramp.
• Construction of a single-lane southbound I-5 exit ramp.
• Construction of a two-lane southbound I-5 loop entrance ramp with an auxiliary lane.
• Construction of a three-lane overcrossing and roadway with a connection to the north with Metro Air Parkway and terminating to the south with a cul-de-sac.

Funding

Estimated total project costs are $11.28 million. Funding will be provided by the Metro Air Park Financing District (97%) and Measure A sales tax funds (3%).
