This project will provide a number of roadway system benefits including:
- Improving roadway safety.
- Easing congestion and delays.
- Improving bicycle, pedestrian and transit facilities.
- Meeting Americans with Disability Act requirements.
- Beautification of the project area.
Planned roadway improvements include:
- Widening Gerber Road from 2 lanes to 3 lanes between Elk Grove/Florin Road and
one-quarter mile west of Bradshaw Road.
- Construction of a 11-foot wide, raised landscaped median.
- Improvements for ADA compliance, transit access, bicycle and pedestrian facilities.
- The project will also include a culvert improvement on Gerber Road at
Gerber Creek Crossing #4.

Right-of-Way Acquisition, 2006 to 2007
Construction, 1st Phase (North Side), 2006 to 2007
2nd Phase (South Side), 2008 to 2009
Estimated total project costs are $3.33 million and will be financed by the North Vineyard Station
Specific Plan Area Fee Account.
