Elverta Road - Rio Linda Boulevard to Dutch Haven

Project Description

This Elverta Road (Rio Linda Boulevard to Dutch Haven Boulevard) improvement project will provide a number of roadway system benefits including:

• Improved roadway safety.
• Increased traffic capacity to ease congestion and delays.
• Improved bicycle and pedestrian facilities.
• Meet Americans with Disability Act requirements.
• Beautification of the project area.

Planned roadway improvements include:

• Widening Elverta Road from 2 to 4 lanes between Rio Linda Boulevard and Dutch Haven Boulevard. 
• Construction of a 12-foot wide, raised landscaped median along Elverta Road.
• Roadway improvements for ADA compliance, transit access and bicycle and pedestrian facilities.

Funding

Estimated total project costs are $6.84 million and will be provided by Measure A sales tax funds (40%) and Financing Districts (60%)
