Fair Oaks Boulevard Safety Improvement
Project Project Description ![]() SACDOT is moving forward with a project to enhance safety on Fair Oaks Boulevard. Phase 1 of the project will install guard rails at various locations along the center median between Watt Avenue and San Ramon Way/Wilhaggin Drive. A proposed Phase 2 project will install guardrails at locations along the center median between San Ramon Way/Wilhaggin Drive and Eastern Avenue. Steel backed timber guardrails with end treatments will be installed as part of the project. The project
includes the transplanting of eleven trees and removal of 6 discared
trees. Project Benefits
Phase 1: Fair Oaks Boulevard from Watt Avenue to San Ramon Way/Wilhaggin Drive Preliminary Design, Winter 2009 Funding Estimated Phase 1 project construction costs are $470,000. Measure A Sales Tax and Gas Tax funds will be used to cover project costs. Phase 2 SACDOT is actively seeking Federal funding for a Phase 2 project for Fair Oaks Boulevard Safety Improvements from San Ramon Way/Wilhaggin Drive to Eastern Avenue.
