Corridor Enhancements

Many older County roadways are aesthetically unattractive, have no right-of-way landscaping and lack facilities for pedestrians, bicyclists and transit users. The Corridor Enhancements projects listed below have multiple benefits:

  • Enhanced appearance of these corridors and improved safety and access for all modes of travel.
  • Economic revitalization of aging commercial corridors.
  • Creation of safe, attractive and functional travel corridors.

Specific improvements are identified though community input and study of corridor travel times. Improvements include median and frontage landscaping and streetscape, themed lighting and signage, improved pedestrian and bicycle linkages, utility relocations, transit access improvements and other safety enhancements.
