Countywide Street Beautification

Project Description

This project will construct landscaping and streetscaping improvements in various street corridors throughout Sacramento County in accordance with the countywide street beautification priority list. Specific locations will be approved by the Board of Supervisors when funding is committed and project development begins. These projects will:

• Fully landscape medians and frontage road planters with trees, shrubs and groundcovers.
• Install hardscape improvements such as textured/colored interlocking pavers and/or concrete. 
• The construction of all landscaping improvements will include installation of automatic irrigation systems where needed.

Tentative Schedule

Ongoing annual program beginning in 2006.

Funding

Estimated total project costs are $2.5 million and will be provided by Measure A Sales Tax funds.
