HAZEL AVENUE IMPROVEMENT PROECT
~PHASE 1 OPEN HOUSE~  

      Sacramento, CA – On Wednesday, May 20, 2009, the Sacramento County Department of Transportation (SACDOT) will host an Open House to provide the public with an opportunity to learn more about Phase 1 of the Hazel Avenue Improvement Project.  Construction for this $20 million project is underway.   SACDOT staff will be on-hand at the Open House to discuss project improvements, construction impacts and next steps.  All interested community members are encouraged to attend.  Open House information is as follows:
Date & Time: 	Wednesday, May 20, from 5:30 to 6:30 P.M 
Location:	 	Sacramento State Aquatic Center
			1901 Hazel Avenue, Gold River 

When completed the project will provide a number of benefits:
* Improved roadway safety.
* Increased traffic capacity to ease congestion and delays.
* Improved bicycle and pedestrian facilities.
* Americans with Disability Act improvements. 
* Beatification of the project area.
